The Celtic Twilight: A Teller of Tales
One of the most highly anticipated series of the season has been given one of the most deadly timeslots. The anti-Dawson’s Creek, Freaks and Geeks takes a realistic, often moving look at high school. Set in 1980, the dramedy follows Lindsay (Cardellini) who’s caught between the smart set and the freaks. Her younger brother (Daley) has no such identity crisis — he’s a geek all the way. NBC moved the show to Monday at 8 p.m., a more visible slot, but the brilliant show regrettably never found an audience and was finally canceled in March. Loyal viewers held out hope that another network would pick up the remaining six episodes.
