Remember Paul Hogan? “That’s not a knife” he said famously, “this is a knife.” If the old Crocodile Dundee gag still makes you smile, then you should probably check out Crocodile Dundee in Los Angeles, which reheats the stale jokes in L.A. Beyond that there’s not much more to say: Hogan’s easygoing wrangler returns in full effect. He has a big knife and never takes himself too seriously. (Not that this would be possible, since his Aussie shtick is 13 years old). There’s an incidental plot about Dundee’s journalist wife (Linda Kozlowski) uncovering Hollywood thieves who aren’t as afraid of the displaced hick as they should be.
